Dr. David Hotchen

David has a friendly and caring manner and is a true perfectionist.
David qualified in Dentistry from The University of Liverpool in 2012. As a student, he represented his dental school in a prestigious restorative dentistry contest, finishing in 2nd place nationally. On graduation, he was awarded the Dental School's Prize for Restorative Dentistry. He has since worked in both General Dental Practice and as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
David has completed dental implant training at Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology and has been mentored by Willie Jack in implant dentistry since 2014. He has completed training in complex surgical implant procedures and gained a distinction in his Dental Implantology Masters degree in 2019. David has a special interest in the use of the lastest digital and CADCAM technologies in dental implant procedures. He is also a member of the International Team for Implantology.
David also has experience with traditional labial braces, invisible lingual orthodontics (brace on the backs of the teeth) and Invisalign clear aligners. He is in his element creating beautiful smiles!
David grew up in Cheltenham and, before becoming a dentist, completed a degree in Biomedical Science at Sheffield University after which he worked in cardiac physiology. David is married to Alison and they live in Herefordshire with their two children, Matthew and Emilia. In his spare time he is a keen musician, playing several different instruments. David also enjoys cycling, rock-climbing and watersports.
Dr. Emma Pourmahak

Emma is a friendly, very gentle and caring dentist who will settle for nothing less than the best standard of care possible.
As well as general dental care, Emma has done additional post-graduate training in orthodontics and is able to provide a range of modern adult and child solutions for aligning teeth including Invisalign and discrete clear ceramic braces.
Emma is also experienced in providing facial aesthetics treatments such as Botox and facial fillers.
Emma is originally from Lancashire, first graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Biomedical Science in 2007 and then from Liverpool University in Dentistry in 2012. She worked in general dental practice near Sheffield before moving to Ludlow in 2015. Emma is married to Luke and in her spare time she enjoys cooking and synchronised swimming.
Dr. Michael Teft
BDS MSc Clin Perio
Periodontist GDC 191748
Michael qualified in 2010 and was invited to join the practice in 2018. He is a gentle and caring dentist with high standards of care and is already popular with families who have been attending the practice for many years.
Michael completed a Masters degree in Periodontology with merit in 2019, and happily accepts referrals from other dentists within the practice and surrounding area to help with more complex gum conditions.
Outside of work Michael is happily married and enjoys good food and keeping fit.
Dr. Lorne Whitmarsh

Dr Whitmarsh's friendly approach and strive for excellence are well appreciated by his patients.
He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and as such regularly attends courses to keep up with latest developments and techniques. He is keen to make all his patients relaxed and at the same time provide a high quality of dental care.
His experience extends to implantology, single visit crown and veneer placement without the need for impressions, clearstep orthodontic positioners to help straighten teeth.
Lorne is a family man and a keen tennis player.
Dental Hygienist GDC 4532
Dena worked in crafts and animation before training as a nurse. She then qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield in 1993 having won the Stafford Miller Prize.
Since qualifying Dena has worked for Powys Community Services developing educational programmes for schools and carers as well as treating patients referred with advanced periodontal disease- a challenge she still enjoys.
She has an active interest in complimentary medicine and also works in a Mid-Wales practice.
Dena also practices electrolysis for facial hair removal at Alliance Court.
Dena has a busy family life but still manages to go for 'a long stretch' on the coast and mountains- the longer and wilder the better!

Annie qualified in Dental Hygiene with distinction from Cardiff University in 2017. She was awarded 2 of the 3 graduation prizes showing her talent for and dedication to dental hygiene. Annie is calm and gentle and already has a large patient following.
Annie is a local girl at heart, but before becoming a hygienist, she lived in Australia where she trained as a dental nurse in a high-end dental clinic.
Annie likes running and going to the gym. Most of all she enjoys participating in team sports. Annie has played for netball, hockey and football teams in the past. She did Karate for 7 years, achieved black belt and was chosen to represent the England squad.
