With the announcement of another lockdown from 4 November, we just wanted to reassure everyone that we will remain open and will continue to see patients for planned and emergency appointments. We know how important keeping up with your oral health is and so we are glad to hear the Prime Minister encouraging everyone to keep their healthcare appointments through lockdown.
We are COVID-secure, with many measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Dental practices have always been very good at infection control and since the first lockdown, we have built on these strong foundations. For example, when you see our staff, they will be wearing FFP3 masks that form a seal over their faces to filter the air that they breathe in and out. This prevents them contracting and passing on the virus from a patient that is not showing symptoms. The surgeries are cleaned thoroughly before and after every patient and we have mechanical air ventilation to ensure you are breathing fresh air when you are inside the building. Even the toilets are cleaned after every use!
We understand you may be apprehensive about coming to see us over the next few weeks and if you would prefer to rearrange your appointment, that’s fine too. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can put something in diary for a few months time.
